Referral to the Mother-Baby HopeLine

The Mother-Baby Program, the 1st of its kind in Minnesota, offers a range of mental health, mind-body, and parenting support for pregnant and postpartum women and families of children ages 0-5. Babies less than 1-year-old are welcome to come to all Mother-Baby services.

IMPORTANT: This service is not intended for emergencies. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department. For urgent mental health support, you can also call the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Common reasons to call the Mother-Baby HopeLine

  • Postpartum depression, anxiety, bipolar, or trauma-related disorders
  • Depression, anxiety, or other emotional distress during pregnancy
  • Difficulty bonding with or caring for a baby or other children
  • Questions about medication for your mental health during pregnancy or while breastfeeding
  • Other challenges or stress related to pregnancy or parenting
